مردم طبری یا مردم مازندران افرادی هستند که دارای نژادی قومی در مازندران و لهجه مازندرانی هستند. مردم مازندران از نسل قوم تپور هستند. طبق گفته‌های بطلمیوس، جغرافی‌دان یونانی، قبیله تپور در دوران باستان از قبایل ایرانی بودند و قبیله دیگر، دسته‌ای از مردمان کوچ‌نشین ایرانی تبار به نام قوم سکا بودند. در تاریخ ایران - کمبریج، به مردمی که در عصر فرهاد اول اشکانیان به قسمت‌های مرکزی دریای خزر تبعید شدند "تاپور" گفته می‌شد.

The Tabari people or people of Mazandaran are people who have a general ethnic background in Mazandaran and speak Mazandarani. People of Mazandaran are from the generation of the Tupur people.
