کتاب داستان سرایی؛ هنر تدریس (storytelling the art of teaching)، نوشته معصومه استاجی و فرهاد غیاثوند، کتابی عملی و کاربردی برای دانشجویان دوره‌ی کارشناسی است که به دنبال یادگیری زبان انگلیسی با اهداف مختلف‌اند.

این کتاب به سبکی رسمی و به روش گام‌به‌گام، برای دانشجویانی طراحی شده است که تمایل به یادگیری هنر داستان‌ سرایی به منظور برقراری ارتباط و به اشتراک‌گذاری تجربیات خود با دیگران‌اند.

بخش اول این کتاب شامل گریزی جامع بر تاریخچه و تعریف داستان‌ سرایی، اهداف، انواع مختلف و عناصر تشکیل‌ دهنده‌ی داستان است.

در قسمت دوم کتاب، نظریه‌ها و یافته‌های پژوهشی در مورد داستان‌سرایی همراه با برخی نکات عملی برای داستان فراهم شده است. در نهایت، چند نمونه داستان کوتاه از نویسندگان برجسته‌ی ادبیات انگلیسی برای دانشجویان ارائه شده است تا آنچه را در قسمت‌های قبلی کتاب یاد گرفته‌اند به صورت عملی فرا گیرند. به دنبال هر بخش از کتاب چند سؤال و فعالیت برای تمرین بیشتر زبان‌آموزان آمده است.

Storytelling: The Art of Teaching is a practical manuscript for undergraduate students who are involved in learning English for different purposes. Written formally and in a step-wise fashion, this book is designed for students who are willing to learn the art and craft of telling stories in their attempt to communicate and share their experiences with others. The first part of the book presents a comprehensive treatment of the history and definition of storytelling, its purposes, different types, and comprising, elements. In the second part of the book, theories and research findings on storytelling are provided along with some practical tips to tell stories. Finally, some sample stories are presented for students to apply what they have earned in the previous units, Each unit is followed by some questions and activities for practice. To enhance the students listening, pronunciation, and vocabulary skills, the book provides the learners with the audio files of the stories, vocabulary gloss along the texts, and a glossary of the terms
